“Many years ago, I travelled through the Amazon. Whenever I look at the installation, I am reminded of moments from that journey.’ T.H., collector
A touch of nature indoors and a memento of this journey to the Amazon were the deciding factors behind the commission of WILD\LIGHT ANGLE for the German collector.
In this installation, light and nature come together in a wonderful way: the light flows down over the ball moss in gentle waves and winds its way through the recesses. Furthermore, the light guides nestle against the raised sections of moss. This creates interesting light reflections through the light guides, which subtly emit their light across their surface.
The varying shades of green and the delicate tips of the ball moss fascinate and soothe the eye, creating a completely natural landscape within the stainless steel frame. This creates an aesthetic counterpoint full of tension, as if a piece of the Amazon had been framed.
The non-uniformity of the light emission creates a deliberate sense of optical depth, allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in the green atmosphere permeated by the beam of light.
The installation WILD\LIGHT No. 1 ANGLE is related on the one hand to the light object WILD\LIGHT No. 1, and on the other, to the installation WILD\LIGHT, which was realised for RADO as part of the Vienna Design Week.
Today, WILD\LIGHT ANGLE is situated within a collection that already includes several works of light art, including pieces by Jürgen LIT Fischer.
I am therefore all the more delighted that this installation continues to inspire enthusiasm here every day. That is precisely why I love my artistic work.
